BYD Chile is developing its Energy Storage Division, which was established in 2008 in China, stands as a global trailblazer, leader, and expert in battery energy storage systems.
BYD Chile is seeking a BESS Process Engineer responsible for defining and optimizing battery repair processes to ensure high repair efficiency and consistent product quality, track the process issues during the rework and propose improvement measures, prepare the rework process documents and train the operators. This position will carry out its activities in our technical area located in the city of Santiago (Quilicura), from Monday to Friday.
The candidate must be familiar with battery systems and related equipment, with strong knowledge of battery operating principles, charging/discharging systems, and protection devices, as well as proven skills in battery maintenance, testing, performance analysis, and fault diagnosis for lithium-ion batteries.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in mechanical engineering, automation or related fields is preferred.
- More than one year of experience in process engineering is required. Candidates with experience in battery process design are preferred.
- Familiar with the design and optimization of process flow, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understand the production line process flow.
- Proficient in using office software and data analysis software.
