For our Latin America team, reporting to the LATAM Storage Delivery & Service Business Manager, we are currently searching for a:
Title: HSE Expert for Service and Commissioning of BESS systems
Department: Service

Main Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise the day-to-day tasks of the field team, ensuring that planned activities are carried out according to schedule, HSE and technical standards.
- Supervise functional tests, electrical verification, BMS/inverters configuration and communication validations (Modbus, CAN, TCP/IP)
- Ensure proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance task for energy storage system components (batteries, PCS, FSS, SCADA, etc.)
- Assist in diagnosing complex faults and facilitate on-site resolution, with technical input from engineering of factory support when required–
- Act as the direct communication link with the Field Service Manager and provide the required feedback when needed.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as commissioning reports, intervention logs and activity summaries to ensure transparency and traceability of field tasks.
- Participate in planning meetings, technical reviews and quality assurance processes, providing field insight and supporting informed decision making.
- Assist in organizing team schedules, monitoring attendance, identifying training needs and providing feedback to support continuous development.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with internal HSE policies and regulatory requirements relating to electrical work, LOTO Procedures, etc.
- Foster a collaborative and safety conscious working environment in line with project objectives and company values.

Requirements:
• Technician or engineer in the areas of Electricity, Electronics, Electromechanics or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant site maintenance experience, with at least 2 years management or supervisory roles.
• Demonstrated experience in the commissioning of industrial electrical systems, BESS, substations or renewable systems. Solid knowledge of BESS technology including Li-ion batteries, inverters, BMS, Scada systems is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, apply test protocols and use diagnostic tools.
• Experience with measurement instruments. Knowledge on maintenance software(CMMS) and reporting platforms is a plus.
• Ability to solve problems in the field and take decisions under high pressure environments.
• Driving License (type B for Chilean light vehicles, or higher).
• Ability to have a professional conversation with English speakers in the field (Level B2 of English or higher); Having a certification on English proficiency is a plus.
• Availability to work and live in Taltal (Antofagasta Region) during at least 6 months. and relocate to Copiapó after that period.
