For our Latin America team, reporting to the LATAM Storage Delivery & Service Business Manager, we are currently searching for a:
Title: HSE Expert for Service and Commissioning of BESS systems

Main Responsibilities:

Occupational Health and Safety Management:
- You will be responsible to developing and updating risk prevention programmes, hazard identification and Risk Assessment, risk matrices and associated action plans for all activities associated with commissioning and maintenance of BESS Systems
- Developing safe working procedures, specific emergency response plans, and monitoring the correct application of these documents and procedures, the company safety standards and all the current legislation and applicable international regulations.

On-Site Supervision:

- You will maintain an active presence in the field supervising the activities of the crew during commissioning and maintenance.
- You will elaborate reports about the performance of our crew in the field and you will exercise your authority to stop work when necessary.
- You will be responsible for performing daily inspections identifying deviations and implementing immediate corrective actions. You will prepare daily, weekly and/or monthly reports related to Safety KPI’s and provide the required feedback to the Chilean authorities and / or Safety Organizations (“mutuales” in Chile) when required.

Training and Safety Culture:

- You will be responsible for planning and delivering induction programs, safety briefings and technical training (including LOTO, emergency response, use of PPE) maintaining safety training statistics.
- Organizing safety campaigns and monitoring employee involvement.
- Identify PPE requirements for commissioning and maintenance activities, ensuring timely provision and replacement of this equipment. Incident Management and Reporting.
- You will coordinate the investigation of incidents, accidents and near misses and prepare reports including root cause analysis and improvement plans.
- You will manage HSE performance indicators (accident rates, inspection compliance, critical findings, etc.) and related legal documentation

Requirements:

• Risk prevention engineer accredited by the “Seremi de Salud”.
• Minimum 3-4 years in a similar position, with proven experience in electrical work or substations. Experience on Renewable energy projects or BESS systems is a plus.
• Desirable experience in electrical works, substations, and PCS inverters.
• Being familiar with electrical and safety regulation applicable to BESS installations (having specific courses related with the topic is a plus).
• Use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Forms, etc.)
• Analytical and technical leadership abilities
• Strong field orientation, autonomous, able to develop conflict solving strategies on a daily manner.
• Effective communication and collaborative management with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to maintain a professional conversation in English in the field (B2 level of English or higher).
• Class B driving license
• Ability to work and live in Taltal (Region de Antofagasta) for at least 6 months and relocate to Copiapó after that
